The Old Pinakothek or Alte Pinakothek is an art museum in Munich. It’s one of the oldest galleries in the world and houses a very famous collection of Old Master paintings. The name alludes to the time period covered by the art being 19th century. The museum is part of the Bavarian State Picture Collection (German: Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen), an organization of the Free state of Bavaria.Contents
